Returningto Cala Liberotto to the south you will find different bays, some of them truly fantastic and hard to see, by land or by sea. Then I suggest you to walk along the coast. Overcoming cliffs and going on trails, you will reachthe adjacent Sas Linnas Siccas and Fuile e Mare. After this beach that slowly degrades towards a shallow sea, the landscape changes and clear rocks give way to
black, porous rock of volcanic origin.
A few kilometers far an uncontaminated nature dominates withaseries of bays and headlands with cliffs overlooking a quite deep and rich of fish sea. Kayakers, scuba divers and surf casting as well as nudists look for this place. It’s very difficult to reach these areas by land.
The coast continues with these characteristics to reach Punta Nera, the point where the vast and magnificent Gulf of Orosei begins. On the south side of Punta Nera a sandy bay accessible by land with a dirt driveway, but not indicated by signs, begins.
The beach is beautiful, wild and little known even in the busiest tourist months. The far south of this bay is characterized by black rocks, creating a small hill behind which there is, carved into the rock, mouth of Cedrino river. This river, at its estuary, turns into a large characteristic pond.
After the black rock a mileage beach begins; because of its length it changes its name at various points, and characterizes the first part of the Gulf of Orosei.
This first part of the beach immediately behind the black rock is virtually uninhabited and the space between a parasol and the others is measured in hundreds of meters, even in the busiest months.
Continuing along this long beach you reach the Marina di Orosei after a few miles; and continuing for another few kilometers you reach Osalla, the beach that ends the about 8 Km. long just described strip of sand!
After this beach there are other coves with beautiful and characteristic beaches I suggest you to explore. After a while, however, the coast rises with spectacular cliffs, hundreds of meters high, a spectacle of nature that is unique in the world.
The land access is difficult and often quite impossible. The last achievable country is Cala Gonone, which has a small port facilities where you can find many tourist boats and boat rental services. The town is beautiful and equipped, a very tourist town and maybe a little bit too chaotic because of limited spaces.
Along the coast, accessible only by sea, there are places of incomparable beauty as Cala Luna, with three large caves on the beach, Cala Mariolu, Cala Goloritze, Cala Sisine, etc.
And several caves to visit such as the Grotta del Bue Marino and the Grotta del Fico.
It’s really a pity don’t make a boat trip to these places. The photos you see were not increased, the colors are indeed those original.
I could write about these places for many days without honoring enough their beauty .... you have just to come here on holiday and have a nice trip with one of the many boats or rafts.
